Storage & warehousing
Storage for what’s next.
Humboldt Moving & Storage offers household storage and commercial warehousing options, whether you need space between moves or a longer-term arrangement.
Tell us what you need to store, your preferred location, and your expected timing. Your team will identify suitable available options.

Space for the transition—and beyond
Between homes
Bridge the gap when your belongings need to leave one property before the next is ready. Include storage in the discussion about pickup and final delivery.
For a longer stay
Short- and long-term storage options can accommodate changing plans. Explain how much you need to store and how often you expect to retrieve belongings.
For your business
Commercial storage and warehousing can support a workplace transition or a need for additional space. Describe the furniture, equipment, or other items involved so suitability can be assessed.
Storage shaped around your belongings
Preparation and packing
Packing and protective materials help prepare belongings for handling and storage. Identify fragile items and any preparation you want the team to include.
Moving into storage
Humboldt provides loading, transportation, and handling for storage moves. Your estimate should identify which services are included.
Storage arrangement
Humboldt offers vault storage and storage in transit. Available arrangements may include fire protection or monitoring and inventory documentation or tracking. Vaults are large containers within a warehouse, not walk-in self-storage units. Facility features, available space, and terms vary.
Retrieval and onward delivery
Humboldt can collect belongings for storage and arrange final delivery afterward. Access and retrieval require 24 hours’ notice; scheduling and handling charges depend on the arrangement.
Find your storage team
Start with the team nearest your preferred storage location. Facility features, available space, and access arrangements vary.
Storage availability does not mean every moving service is offered in each market. Reno/Sparks does not provide local or intrastate moving; ask the team about appropriate storage and transportation arrangements.
Storage and warehousing questions
Can storage be included in my move?
Yes. Humboldt offers storage alongside packing, transportation, pickup, and final delivery. The estimate should identify the services included and the terms of the proposed storage arrangement.
Do you offer short- and long-term storage?
Yes. Short- and long-term options are available, subject to facility space and terms. Storage has a one-month minimum; the written arrangement should explain recurring charges and what happens if your plans change.
How can I access my belongings?
Access and retrieval require 24 hours’ notice. The specific process and any handling fees depend on the facility and storage method; storage is not walk-in or unrestricted access.
Is climate-controlled storage available?
Climate-controlled storage is available through Humboldt, but not every facility or arrangement is climate-controlled. Ask your local team about availability and the specific conditions your belongings require.
What can be stored?
Humboldt offers household, commercial, and specialty-item storage, including pianos. Describe your belongings so the team can assess facility suitability, special handling needs, and acceptance restrictions.
What affects the cost of storage?
The amount and type of belongings, storage duration, preparation, handling, transportation, and requested access can affect the estimate. Humboldt offers storage valuation at $1 per month for each $1,000 of declared value. Valuation is not the same as insurance; review the written terms, recurring charges, and separate fees.
